Axalta SDS Poster Creator

Axalta Color Tools are a user-friendly solution for paint shops in the automotive industry, providing the painter with an end-to-end platform that supports all their activities, from color selection to execution. The software handles multiple processes within the paint shop, such as formula search, color weighing and mixing, spectrometer measurement integration, task scheduler, customer management, quotation creator, stock and price manager, technical and safety sheet finder, to name a few. It runs in over 10 brands, in over 50 languages, and is used all over the world.

Safety Data Sheets are crucial to Axalta's clients, providing essential safety instructions when using their products. Paint shops typically print these sheets out and pin them to the wall of the dust free room, so that the painters can refer to them while keeping their hands free. Safety Data is product-dependent, so these sheets are often created anew for each painting session. Axalta's idea was to launch an SDS poster generator to provide a delightful customer experience.

Solution:
The poster creator allows the painter to select the products they are about to use, and to generate a printable poster with the necessary safety data. The UI is a dynamic poster template, so that the painter knows exactly what the poster will look like. Soft animations provide an organic feel, and a tactile experience.

Safety Data Sheets are generated faster, and the painting room is safer. Axalta's branding is reinforced, and their products well-presented.
