Axalta Color Mixing

Axalta Color Tools are a user-friendly solution for paint shops in the automotive industry, providing the painter with an end-to-end platform that supports all their activities, from color selection to execution. The software handles multiple processes within the paint shop, such as formula search, color weighing and mixing, spectrometer measurement integration, task scheduler, customer management, quotation creator, stock and price manager, technical and safety sheet finder, to name a few. It runs in over 10 brands, in over 50 languages, and is used all over the world.

Color Mixing supports paint handling part of the workflow: the list of ingredients, their stock availability, and fine-tuning the components depending on temperature and humidity. The volume of paint is dynamically calculated depending on car model, car parts, and the type of spraying. Labels are created for mixes made upfront or in bulk.

Solution:
The ingredients list is crucial, therefore clear, precise, and to the point. The volume and ingredient suggestions need are visually strong, pleasant to use, and, to a skilled painter, clear at a glance. The UI displays as much data as possible without becoming overwhelming. It generates car and ingredient diagrams in real time, while being fully responsive. Many paint shops use older technology touch screens that are not very sensitive solved by a floating bottom bar for ergonomic access.

A seamless user experience that is now available on platform level across native and cloud-based devices, while the Color Mixing is easy to use, flexible, informative, and actionable.
