Medaan is a comprehensive product investigation and classification tool that helps Amazon Safety and Compliance Teams migrate from multiple work execution systems into one. It combines overlapping and program-specific functionalities in one place, providing all teams with a user-friendly product investigation flow and a centralised source of knowledge.

Solution:
The primary objective of Medaan is to reduce the Associates’ cognitive burden, allowing for faster and more precise decisions, which ultimately leads to greater safety for Amazon customers and an improved selling partner experience. We identified that a better way of displaying product data from the Amazon Detail Page, both in batch and as a single item, would be the most impactful accelerator.
Impact:
3 product investigation and classification tools converged into Amazon Medaan, resulting in a 2X reduction in time and effort across Amazon’s enterprise segment, onboarding multiple teams, with more to be included as the platform grows.
